INDEAR Provider Qualifications
INDEAR includes both South Asian (69%) and non-South Asian mental health professionals of whom 26% are psychologists with doctoral degrees, 14% are psychiatrists, 23% are social workers, 31% have a Masters in counseling or a related degree, 7% identify as “other” and include individuals who are doctoral trainees, rehabilitation counselors, life coaches, or have experience working with disaster relief efforts. We currently have 275 providers in the system and over 25 administrative team members, most of whom have mental health backgrounds and training as well.
INDEAR providers have diverse specialties in the area of mental health including work with children, families, groups, trauma and crisis, grief counseling, etc. We offer services in English, Assamese, Bangla, Gujrati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Kuchi, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Marwari, Nepali, Odiya, Punjabi, Sindhi, Sourashtra, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan, Tulu and Urdu.
