Meet INDEAR Administration Team
Deepti Kumra, M.S., LMHC
Deepti Kumra (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist currently based in Massachusetts with a Masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. She believes in providing culturally competent care and specializes in suicide prevention and intervention, trauma and mood disorders. Born and raised in India, Deepti is actively involved with several mental health organizations in India with a goal to reduce stigma and barriers in accessing mental health services. She has always been a strong advocate for mental health care and feels passionate about INDEAR's mission to support the South Asian communities. Deepti's current role at INDEAR is coordinating appointments and sessions, and also helps supporting the operations team.
Diksha Bali, M.A
Diksha is a Doctoral Fellow and student in the University of Maryland’s School Psychology PhD program, which is housed within the university’s Counseling and Higher Education Department. Through her program, training and experiences, she has gained a practical understanding and working knowledge of a variety of interventions for mental health. She considers India her home, and joined INDEAR to support all of you at this time. For INDEAR, Diksha helps manage operations, collaborations and trainings, supporting the admin team any way she can.
Donna Baker, M.A
Donna is the founder of Columbus Community Deathcare. She’s a death doula, death educator, and member of the National Home Funeral Alliance. Donna offers guidance on how to care for our dying loved ones and gives families the tools they need to stay present through the active-dying phase. She teaches us how to engage with grief in order to bring meaning to death. For those interested in the ancient practice of community-led deathcare, Donna provides consultations on home funerals and natural burials. At INDEAR, Donna co-oordinates the website team and helps with volunteer management/support.
Kritika Dwivedi, Psy.D.
Dr. Kritika Dwivedi earned her doctoral degree at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology in 2016. She currently works at Denver DBT and Psychotherapy where she offers DBT group therapy, as well as individual and couples counseling. Dr. Dwivedi values the opportunity to provide therapy to diverse populations. Her practice maintains a commitment to multicultural humility and social justice consciousness, both within herself and towards others. Kritika co-coordinates INDEAR's marketing initiatives and website team.
Parnika Celly, M.A
Parnika recently graduated from her Master in Social Work degree, where she focused on Global Social Work. She is interested in culturally competent mental healthcare. Like many INDEAR volunteers, she joined this initiative after seeing the suffering in India and wanting to be part of a worldwide supportive family that her professional brothers and sisters in India can talk to. At INDEAR, Parnika is heavily engaged in marketing, and coordinates supervision sessions.
Richa Srinivas, M.S
Richa is a senior applications developer with over 10 years of experience working on a variety of web applications. She has a Masters Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology with a strong computer science background and creative insight. Good user experience and interface designs are part of the core fundamentals of her work.
Shreya Bhandari, Ph.D., LISW
Dr. Shreya Bhandari is a Professor of Social Work at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and also the owner of Tasalli Counseling. She works as a mental health therapist and specializes in offering culturally sensitive and trauma informed care to her clients. She has published her research on violence against women specifically domestic violence in the South Asian community in several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented in national and international conferences as well. She is excited to volunteer her time to offer psychological first aid to frontline workers in India through INDEAR, as well as provide administrative support.
